As an Electric Systems Engineer for our propulsion and energy systems, you will play a critical role in the architecture, development, and implementation of systems. You will play a key role in a small, fast-moving team of engineers to ensure the seamless integration of propulsion and energy systems in our UA.

Your tasks

  • Designing, developing, and integrating inhouse-solutions or/and selecting, modifying, and integrating COTS solutions for our low and medium voltage electric powertrain and energy systems
  • Define requirements and specifications for our electric powertrain and energy systems, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance
  • Elaborate interfaces between in-house developed and COTS systems
  • Design and manufacture electromechanical interconnections and complex electrical harnesses
  • Produce unitary and pre-series prototype bundles
  • Test electric systems and support flight test crew
  • Documenting work, specifications, and test procedures
  • Task planning and coordination with other departments e.g., mechanical design
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field
  • Proven experience (>3 years) in the related field, preferably in the aerospace or UAS industry
  • Experience with battery systems, high power electronics and/or electric motors
  • Experience with testing of electric systems (e.g., batteries at cell and pack level)
  • Experience with soldering and wiring
  • From time to time available to work extended hours and/or weekends if needed
  • Proficient in English

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
  • Proven experience (>5 years) in the related field, preferably in the aerospace or UAS industry.
  • Experience with PCB design and assembly
  • Fluent in German

  • Designing, developing and integrating inhouse-solutions or/and selecting, modifying, and integrating COTS solutions for integrating various sensors and sub-systems to monitor/control several aircraft functions.
  • Define requirements and specifications, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Implementing communication protocols between different subsystems.
  • Conducting testing and debugging of components to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Support flight test crew.
  • Documenting work, specifications, and test procedures.

Your profile
